Mahendra Singh Dhoni, also known as MS Dhoni or Leader Cool, is an Indian international cricketer who is now a former international cricketer. He is the only leader from India to win an ICC trophy. MS Dhoni was born on 7 July 1981 in a Rajput family in Ranchi. He has two siblings, one elder brother, and one elder sister. During his educational qualification in Ranchi, Jharkhand, Mahendra Singh Dhoni excelled in many sports like football, cricket matches, and badminton. He played cricket matches for a club and was a goalkeeper for his football group.
Dhoni made his ODI debut against Bangladesh in Chittagong on 23 December 2004 and played his first Team a year later against Sri Lanka. He also played his first T20 a year later in South Africa. In 2007, he took over the leadership of the ODI team from Rahul Dravid and was also chosen as the T20 leader of the India cricket team in the same year.
In 2008, he was chosen as the Team leader. His captaincy record in this format was mixed, with India to series wins against New Zealand in 2008 and Border Gavaskar trophy wins against Australia (home series in 2010 and 2013), while Sri Lanka, Australia, and England Lost, and South Africa have a huge advantage in overseas conditions.
